Impact on Fuel Prices and Economy

The rise in petroleum levies is expected to drive up fuel prices, which could lead to:
✔️ Higher transportation costs
✔️ Increased inflation and cost of living
✔️ Greater financial pressure on businesses and consumers

These changes come at a time when fuel prices are already a concern for many Pakistanis.

Petrol Price Adjustment in Pakistan

In a minor relief ahead of Eid, the government reduced petrol prices by Rs 1 per liter, setting the new petrol price at Rs 254.63 per liter. However, the price of high-speed diesel remains unchanged at Rs 258.64 per liter.
