Bloodbath at PSX: KSE-100 plunges over 6,000 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a sharp decline today, due to which the outstanding deals were canceled while closing the business.
According to reports, the stock market had a sharp decline since the beginning of trading in the morning. Initially, the KSE-100 index dropped by 3,331.22 points to 1,15,460.
Later, the Pakistan Stock Exchange continued to decline, as a result of which the circuit breaker was turned on and trading in the stock exchange was suspended.
At the same time, the index dropped 6287 points to 112504 points.
Similarly, the 45 index in the PSX dropped 5 per cent and the lower circuit breaker was turned on and trading was suspended. All outstanding deals for this period have been cancelled.
According to the PSX statement, the equity and equity-based market remained closed for 46 minutes.
