Petrol price drop in Pakistan – Check expected rates from April 16
Good news for people in Pakistan—petrol prices are expected to decrease by Rs12 per litre starting April 16, 2025. This expected drop comes as global oil prices continue to fall.
Brent crude oil, which was priced at $74.95 per barrel earlier this month, has now fallen to $60.12 per barrel. The $14+ per barrel decline is due to reduced demand and weak global market trends.
Petrol price in Pakistan
Currently, petrol in Pakistan is priced at Rs254.63 per litre, and diesel at Rs258.64 per litre.
Expected petrol price from April 16
With the upcoming change, petrol is likely to be sold between Rs242 to Rs243 per litre, while diesel may cost around Rs248 to Rs250 per litre.
This price cut is expected to bring some financial relief to citizens who have been struggling with high fuel costs for months. The reduction directly reflects the international oil market’s drop, giving hope that the burden on local consumers will ease.
As the global energy market remains unstable, experts suggest that fuel prices in Pakistan could continue to change in the coming weeks. For now, however, this expected drop is a welcome development for both transport users and businesses across the country.
