Chicken prices increase in Pakistan today – check new rates

On Friday, April 25, 2025, chicken prices in Lahore went up, even though prices usually fall in the summer due to hot weather.

According to the official rate list

• The retail price of live chicken increased by Rs15, now selling at Rs353 per kg.

• The wholesale price also rose by Rs15, now at Rs339 per kg.

Chicken Meat Prices in Pakistan

In the Lahore retail market, chicken meat is now being sold for Rs520 per kg, while “saafi” (cleaned) chicken meat costs Rs580 per kg.

Egg Prices in Pakistan

Egg prices have also gone up. A dozen eggs are now priced at Rs233, which is Rs4 higher than before.

Meanwhile, the Finance Division has shared its monthly economic report. It says that inflation in Pakistan is expected to stay low, between 1.5% to 2% for April 2025. The report also mentioned that Pakistan’s economy is showing signs of stability, and there is a chance of a further cut in the policy interest rate in the coming months.

However, inflation may slightly increase to 3% to 4% in May 2025, according to the forecast.
