Bitcoin Hits New All-Time High of $124,500
Pakistan has decided to set aside 2,000 megawatts of extra electricity for Bitcoin mining and AI data centers, according to media reports on Sunday.
This move is part of a bigger plan by the Pakistan Crypto Council to support digital growth in the country. The Ministry of Finance confirmed the news.
Making Use of Extra Power
In the first phase, Pakistan will use this surplus electricity to support AI technology and cryptocurrency mining. The goal is to turn unused electricity into a new source of income.
Officials believe this could open up new economic opportunities and help Pakistan become a leader in digital technology.
Big Investment and Job Potential
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said the government expects to attract billions of dollars in foreign investment through this step. He also mentioned that it could create high-tech jobs for people across the country.
