On the global front, gold prices surged to $3940 per ounce, reflecting strong international demand and market uncertainty.
Silver prices also followed the same trend, rising in both local and global markets. Experts say the surge in gold and silver prices is mainly due to global economic uncertainty and investors turning to precious metals as a safe investment option.
