Gold prices increase by Rs8,400 per tola in Pakistan - check new rates
Gold prices in Pakistan saw a major jump on Wednesday, following a record rise in international gold rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 8,400 per tola, reaching Rs 425,178. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs 7,202, now standing at Rs 364,521.
For 22-karat gold, the price of 10 grams rose by Rs 6,602, bringing it to Rs 334,156.
In the global market, gold prices climbed by $84 per ounce, hitting a new record high of $4,039 per ounce.
Silver prices also followed the upward trend both locally and internationally. In Pakistan, 24-karat silver increased by Rs 55 per tola to Rs 4,984, while 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 74 to reach Rs 4,272.
In the international market, silver prices reached $48.80 per ounce after an increase of $0.55.
The sharp rise in gold and silver prices reflects growing global demand and market uncertainty, making precious metals an even more attractive option for investors.
