Gold prices surge in Pakistan after a drop – Oct 31, 2025
Gold prices in Pakistan went up on Friday, following a similar increase in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs5,300, reaching Rs424,162, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs4,544, now selling at Rs363,650.
A day earlier, on Thursday, gold prices had dropped by Rs1,000 per tola, bringing the rate down to Rs418,862.
The international gold rate also saw a rise. As per APGJSA, gold was priced at $4,018 per ounce (with a $20 premium) — an increase of $53 during the day. Meanwhile, silver prices also went up by Rs158 per tola, reaching Rs5,192.
However, in global trading later on Friday, spot gold fell by 0.5% to $4,004 per ounce as the US dollar strengthened due to uncertainty about future Federal Reserve rate cuts. Despite this slight dip, gold remained on track for its third straight monthly gain, with a total increase of 3.9% for the month.
US gold futures for December delivery stayed steady at $4,016.70 per ounce.
