Chicken prices rise sharply across major cities - check new rates
Chicken prices have increased sharply in major cities across Pakistan, putting extra pressure on household budgets.
In Lahore, the price of chicken has gone above Rs 580 per kilogram. Karachi is seeing even higher rates, with chicken selling for up to Rs 640 per kilogram. In Peshawar, prices are relatively lower but still high, at around Rs 425 per kilogram.
Many consumers say the constant rise in chicken prices has made it hard to manage daily food expenses. Chicken is a common source of protein for families, and higher prices are forcing people to reduce consumption or look for cheaper alternatives.
Shoppers are worried as there is no clear sign of relief in the near future. They are urging authorities to take steps to control prices and ensure affordable food for the public.
