Gold prices massively drop in Pakistan – Jan 30, 2026: Check new rates
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp decline on Friday, following a fall in international markets, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs35,500, bringing it to Rs537,362. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs30,435 to Rs460,701. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also decreased by Rs27,900, reaching Rs422,324.
Globally, gold prices fell by $355, closing at $5,150 per ounce, which affected local rates.
Silver prices also dropped. Silver per tola decreased by Rs1,106 to Rs11,069, while 10 grams of silver fell by Rs949 to Rs9,489. International silver prices went down by $11.06, reaching $105.94 per ounce.
Traders said the decline is due to international market fluctuations and currency exchange changes, as local gold prices are linked to interbank rates.
Market experts added that the drop in prices could encourage short-term buying in the jewellery market, though price volatility is expected to continue.
