Gold prices drop sharply in Pakistan – March 9, 2026: Check new rates

Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Monday, following a similar downward trend in the international market.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs6,500, reaching Rs533,362. The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs5,573, closing at Rs457,271, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Earlier, on Saturday, gold prices had risen by Rs6,100 per tola to Rs539,862, while on Friday, they fell by Rs3,400, settling at Rs533,762.

In the global market, gold prices dropped by $65 to $5,106 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver prices in Pakistan also fell slightly, with a Rs37 decrease, bringing the rate to Rs8,894 per tola.

The decline reflects both international trends and fluctuations in local demand.
