Rs100 fresh currency note bundles rate before Eidul Fitr 2026

11 March, 2026 11:57

The last Ashra (ten days) of the holy month of Ramadan has started, and people in Pakistan are now preparing for Eid al-Fitr celebrations in 2026.

Before Eid, it is a common tradition in many families that elders give cash gifts to children, which is known as “Eidi.” Children happily spend this money on shopping, food, and fun activities during the Eid holidays.

Demand for Fresh Currency Notes

For giving Eidi, people prefer fresh currency notes of different denominations, especially Rs100 notes. These fresh notes are usually available at banks across the country, including the State Bank of Pakistan.

However, many people sometimes cannot get fresh note bundles from banks because of limited stock. In such cases, they turn to the open market to buy them.

Price of Rs100 Note Bundle in Open Market

In the open market, shopkeepers sell fresh note bundles at higher prices. Normally, a bundle of Rs100 notes is worth Rs10,000, but buyers have to pay extra money to get fresh notes.

Currently, the Rs100 bundle is being sold between Rs10,700 and Rs11,000 in the market.

Expected Date of Eid 2026 in Pakistan

Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s official moon-sighting body, will meet on March 19 to sight the Shawwal moon, which marks the start of Eid.

The meeting will be held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, while zonal committees will also meet in their respective cities.

According to predictions by SUPARCO and weather experts, the Shawwal moon is unlikely to be seen on March 19. Because of this, Eid al-Fitr is expected to fall on March 21, 2026 (Saturday) in Pakistan.

On the first day of Shawwal, Muslims offer the special Eid prayer, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
