How to register for Sindh bike petrol subsidy online via excise portal – Check details

Digital Fuel Management System Coming to Petrol Pumps
The Sindh government has started online registration for a petrol subsidy to support motorcyclists facing rising fuel prices. The scheme offers Rs 2,000 to eligible applicants.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said people can apply through the Excise Department’s online portal. The amount will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account after verification.
How to Apply Online
Applicants need to visit the official Excise portal at taxportal.excise.gos.pk. After logging in or signing up, they must enter their details and complete the process.
The motorcycle must be registered in the applicant’s name. A bank account in the same name is also required. Once the application is approved, the subsidy will be sent automatically. People can also track their application status online.
Conditions for Applicants
The government has set some basic conditions. Only one subsidy will be given per person, even if they own multiple motorcycles.
Authorities have waived ownership transfer fees to make the process easier. Excise offices will also stay open for longer hours, including weekends, to help citizens.
People who do not have bank accounts are advised to open one to avoid delays in receiving the payment.
Part of Wider Relief Package
The subsidy is part of a broader relief plan introduced due to rising global fuel prices.
The package also includes financial support for farmers and transporters. Farmers will receive Rs 1,500 per acre for a limited period, while transporters will get monthly support based on vehicle type.
Public transport fares will remain unchanged despite the increase in fuel costs.
Officials say direct cash support is more effective than general subsidies. The government has also warned transporters not to increase fares, adding that action will be taken against violations.
With millions of motorcycles registered in Sindh, authorities expect a large number of applications. They say all approved applicants will receive the subsidy within April.
