Gold prices surge in Pakistan – May 7, 2026: Check new rates
Gold and silver prices in Pakistan increased sharply again on Thursday, continuing the strong upward trend for the second day in a row. The latest rise has ended the short relief that buyers had seen earlier this week.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola went up by Rs. 7,800 and reached Rs. 496,762. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs. 6,687 to Rs. 425,893.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became more expensive by Rs. 6,130 and reached Rs. 390,416.
Silver prices also continued to rise. The price of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs. 373 to Rs. 8,445, while 10 grams of silver went up by Rs. 320 to Rs. 7,240.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $78 and reached $4,744 per ounce. Silver prices also jumped by $3.73 to $79.61 per ounce.
Market experts say the increase is linked to stronger global bullion prices and currency movements. Jewelers have warned that prices may continue to change in the coming days because the market remains unstable.
