Govt announces advance salaries and pensions before Eid-ul-Adha

The Government of Pakistan has announced early payment of salaries and pensions for government employees and pensioners ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, salaries and pensions for May 2026 will be released on May 22 to help employees and pensioners prepare for the religious festival.

The ministry said Eid-ul-Adha is expected to fall on May 27 or 28, 2026. The payments will be made under the Federal Government’s Receipts and Payment Rules 2025.

The Controller General of Accounts has also been directed to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and pensions.
