Pakistan-Rwanda Business Forum to Boost Trade and Investment Ties

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Rwanda are moving towards greater economic cooperation, with a business and investment forum scheduled to bring representatives from both countries together in Kigali.

The Rwanda-Pakistan Business and Investment Forum is scheduled to take place in Kigali from September 23 to 25, 2026.

A Pakistani business delegation, led by Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Africa Economic Council, is expected to hold meetings with Rwandan government officials, business leaders and private-sector representatives.

The discussions will focus on expanding bilateral trade and investment, exploring joint ventures and identifying opportunities for cooperation in different sectors.

Agriculture, pharmaceuticals, information technology, technology and manufacturing are among the areas expected to be discussed.

The forum is aimed at providing Pakistani businesses with opportunities to explore Rwanda as a market as well as a potential base for investment, production and expansion into wider African markets.

The development reflects growing efforts by Pakistan and Rwanda to expand their economic relationship beyond traditional diplomatic ties.

Officials and business representatives from both countries are expected to use the forum to identify new commercial opportunities and strengthen private-sector links.
