Alert Issued for Debit and Credit Card Holders in Pakistan

KARACHI: HBL has urged customers to remain alert against financial fraud and take steps to protect their banking information from scammers.

In a public safety advisory, the bank warned that fraudsters may try to steal sensitive card details to make unauthorised transactions.

Customers have been advised not to share their card numbers, card verification values (CVVs), personal identification numbers (PINs) or one-time passwords (OTPs) with anyone.

The bank also advised customers to use secure networks and trusted websites when making financial transactions to reduce the risk of fraud.

Customers have been encouraged to stay cautious while using online banking services and keep their confidential information safe from criminals.

The advisory highlights the importance of protecting personal banking details and following secure online practices to avoid financial losses.

HBL also reminded customers never to disclose sensitive banking information and to contact the bank promptly if they suspect any fraudulent activity involving their accounts or cards.
