CDA demolishes, seals PTI’s head office

The Capital Development Authority (CDA), during an anti-encroachment operation, demolished a part of the Central Secretariat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and sealed the office.

According to GTV, CDA in Islamabad posted an order to demolish a part of the PTI office. Earlier, orders were issued to seal the plot on 10 May 2024 over non-implementation of the orders.

According to CDA, the said plot is allotted to a person named Sartaj Ali, while notices have been issued to the said plot owner several times. They added that the first notice was issued on November 19, 2020 and the second on February 22, 2021 while another notice was issued on June 14, 2022 to end the violations.

PTI MNA Barrister Gohar said that they will move court against the sealing and demolition of the central office. Before the election, the election symbol was taken away, but the people also responded again. I will hold a meeting beside the fallen wall of the central office, he added.

On the other hand, PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub talking to the media in Islamabad said that party leader Aamir Mughal has been arrested by the police. He strongly condemned the arrest of Amir Mughal.
