Chaman border with Afghanistan closed for 8 days due to Coronavirus threat.

Meanwhile, Health Ministry and provincial governments remain high alert to deal with the Coronavirus.

Special Assistant on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza said this in a statement.

He said the government is taking effective measures to prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus.

As a pre-emptive measure, government had closed the Chaman border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Mirza said the government was following International Health Regulation guidelines on all air and land routes.

The Special Assistant said the dynamic situation is being monitored and four major cities have been provided with diagnosis facility of Coronavirus.

Besides, he urged the media to play its role in disseminating the right information to the public regarding coronavirus.

Moreover, he also said for any query about Coronavirus people can access helpline 1166.
