Chinese medical team meets President Alvi in Islamabad today.

 

While talking to an eight-member team, President Dr Arif Alvi stressed the need of strengthening Pak-China bilateral cooperation in battling infectious diseases, including Covid-19.

The Chinese team comprised of doctors and medical experts  whom Dr Ma Minghui led.
However, President Alvi emphasised that there should be more exchanges between medical and health professionals of both countries.
He termed it neceassary to chalk out strategies to effectively contain the spread of such epidemics in future.
Furthermore, he said coronavirus has become a threat to global health system.
The President said it requires massive efforts to deal with the dangers whch the deadly virus posed.
The medical experts thanked government of Pakistan for inviting them and helping them share their experiences in dealing with the aftermath of coronavirus.
They lauded the swift efforts of the government of Pakistan that led to the containment of the virus.
Pakistan government has confirmed 4489 cases.
Of them 63 patients have died so far.  572 have been recovered.
China is helping Pakistan as a nation besides its government and private sector.
Its armed forces also share their experience with armed forces medical teams of Pakistan.
Its companies also donated huge amount for PM’s Corona Relief Fund.
