Crown Prince MBS accepts invitation to visit Iran

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has accepted an invitation to visit Iran.

According to foreign media reports, Prince Mohammed bin Salman called Iran’s acting president Dr. Mohammad Mokhbar to offer his condolences over sad demise of former president Ibrahim Raisi, who martyred in a helicopter crash.

During the conversation, mutual relations and regional issues were discussed between the two leaders and the Iranian acting president also invited Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit the Islamic Republic, which was accepted by the Saudi Crown Prince.

Media reports said this would be the first possible visit by a Saudi royal figure to Tehran in two decades, signaling another step toward positive diplomatic relations after years of strained ties.
