22 July, 2024 19:32

In a bizarre turn of events, a two-decade-old episode of “The Simpsons” has resurfaced, showcasing an uncanny resemblance to current political developments.

The 17th episode of the 11th series, aired in March 2000, features Lisa Simpson as the President of the United States, donning a pantsuit and pearls, uncannily similar to Vice President Kamala Harris’ signature style.

Following President Joe Biden’s surprise withdrawal from the presidential race and his endorsement of Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate, social media platforms have been flooded with comparisons between the animated series and real-life events.

The episode depicts Lisa inheriting a “budget crunch” from her predecessor, President Trump, leaving the country in a dire financial state.

Similarly, many people on social media claimed that The Simpsons had already predicted the recent attack on Donald Trump.

It is pertinent to mention here that this is not the first time “The Simpsons” has been credited with predicting significant world events.

The Simpsons has a history of predicting future events, which has led to widespread fascination and speculation. While some believe the show’s creators possess a crystal ball, others attribute the coincidences to clever writing and satire.
