Educated cricketer better than uneducated player: Ali

Pakistan’s fast bowler Muhammad Ali has said that an educated cricketer is better than an uneducated player because the knowledgeable and the ignorant can never be equal.

In a recent interview, Muhammad Ali said that preparation for white ball formats is done easily through red ball cricket. Test cricket is actually a test of fitness and skills and I didn’t do anything different in PSL, only the colour of ball changed, he added.

Ali further said that he used to watch bowling videos of Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar and Waqar Younis while Shane Bond and Dale Steyn are his favorite fast bowlers. He added that he asked several technical questions regarding bowling to Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.

“My job is to perform in domestic cricket whether I get an opportunity or not, for me domestic cricket is as important as Test matches and PSL,” the fast bowler said.

Expressing regret, Ali said that in Pakistan, education has never been included in the priorities for the players. For the youth, talent, hard work, intelligence and education are necessary to succeed in any field. My message to the young players is they must pay attention to education along with cricket. A well-educated cricketer has more confidence and learns things quickly, he said.
