School holidays extended in this city - check details
SARGODHA: In Kot Momin, a tehsil in Sargodha, school holidays have been extended until September 13 due to rising floodwaters.
According to an official notification, all schools in the flood-affected areas will stay closed for the safety of students and staff. The decision was made by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Waseem, who said the priority is to protect lives and property during this emergency.
41 villages have been affected by the floods, and both public and private schools in these areas will remain shut. However, schools in non-affected parts of Kot Momin have reopened today to avoid further disruption in learning.
The district administration is working to repair damaged school buildings and speed up the rehabilitation process. Officials have asked parents and teachers to support these efforts so that students can return to a safe learning environment as soon as possible.
