BISE Rawalpindi announces new English paper scheme for class 10 2026
RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi is ready to start the Class 10 (matric) first annual exams for 2026 from March 27.
According to details, the English compulsory paper will be held on March 30. It will take place in both morning and evening shifts. Many students consider English one of the most difficult subjects, so this paper is very important.
The Rawalpindi Board manages exams for both public and private schools in several areas. These include Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, and Talagang.
The board has also shared a new paper scheme for English on its official website. This helps students understand the paper pattern and prepare better.
The English paper will have two parts: Objective and Subjective. Students will have a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam.
In the objective section, there will be 19 questions carrying 19 marks. Students will have 20 minutes to solve this part.
The subjective section will have two parts. The first part will include short questions. In the second part, students will either translate a paragraph into Urdu or rewrite it in simple English.
This new scheme will help students know what type of questions to expect and prepare more confidently for their exams.
