Matric Exams Begin Across Province with Over 250,000 Students

LAHORE, March 27, 2026: The annual matriculation examinations started today across the province. Over 250,000 students are appearing in the exams this year.

On the first day, students are taking papers in Arabic, Geography, and History of Pakistan. Schools and examination centers have been fully prepared for the process.

A total of 880 examination centers have been set up. Out of these, 26 centers are being monitored through CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and fairness.

Authorities have imposed Section 144 at all examination centers. Unrelated people are not allowed to enter. Candidates are only allowed in after identity verification.

According to the schedule, the last matriculation papers in Punjabi and Islamic History will be held on April 16. Ninth-grade examinations will start on April 17.

The administration has announced strict measures to prevent cheating. Officials say they aim to provide a fair and safe environment for all students during the exams.
