Punjab Boards Discontinue Hard Copies of Class 9 Results 2025

Lahore – August 20, 2025 – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced that hard copies of Class 9 result cards will no longer be issued this year.

Instead, students will now be able to download free digital copies of their mark sheets directly from the official board website. According to the BISE Lahore Secretary, the same facility will soon be available for Matric (10th grade) and Second Year (12th grade) students as part of the board’s new policy.

Digital Transformation in Education

This shift marks a major step in the Punjab education system’s digital transformation initiative. Officials say the goal is to improve accessibility, make result services faster, and reduce reliance on paper-based documentation. By moving results online, students can access their marks anytime without waiting for physical copies.

Class 9 Results 2025 Statistics

Earlier in the day, Punjab boards announced the Class 9 first annual results 2025. According to BISE Lahore, a total of 308,073 students appeared in the examinations. Out of these, 138,894 candidates passed, with the overall pass percentage standing at 45.08%.

• Science Group: Out of 235,247 students, 111,681 passed, making the pass rate 47.47%.

• Arts Group: Out of 72,826 students, 27,213 passed, showing a pass rate of 37.36%.

What This Means for Students

With this change, students will no longer receive printed result cards by post or from their schools. Instead, they must visit the official board website to download and print their mark sheets if needed. Schools and colleges will also have access to these online results for official record purposes.

Education officials believe this move will save costs, protect the environment, and make the result system more efficient for students across Punjab.
