American rapper Lil Jon embraces Islam

Rapper Jonathan H Smith, popularly known as Lil Jon, has converted to Islam.
The American rapper made headlines recently for the significant announcement.

The rapper confirmed the news through Instagram post. In the post, Lil Jon expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support he received from his brothers and sisters in faith, signing off with “Alhamdulillah” (praise be to God).
He made the conversion public that saw Lil Jon recite the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, at a mosque in Los Angeles.
The rapper shared his decision with a large congregation.
Lil Jon is famous for hits like ‘Yeah’, ‘Turn Down for What’, ‘Let’s Go’, ‘Get Low’ and ‘Act a Fool’.
Recently, prominent stem cell scientist Henry Larson and activist Shaun King also embraced Islam.
