Amitabh Bachchan fails to fulfill this promise to his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai

Bollywood’s legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan made a promise to his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai several years ago which could not be fulfilled till date.

Among the same viral news, there is also a 16-year-old news that Amitabh Bachchan made an important promise to Aishwarya Rai.

According to Indian media, in the year 2008, Amitabh Bachchan had promised the people of Dulatpur village in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh state and Aishwarya Rai that he would build a college here in the name of his daughter-in-law.

Reports said that Amitabh Bachchan along with his wife and actress Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai also laid the foundation stone of the college and named it  ‘Aishwarya Bachchan Kanya Maha Vidyalaya’.

The people of the village were very happy with this project as the first college was going to be built in their village but soon after laying the foundation stone of the college, Amitabh Bachchan handed over the project to Nishta Foundation for unknown reasons.

When the college could not be constructed from 2008 to 2018, the people of the village decided to start the construction work of the college with their own help.

For this, a 40-year-old woman teacher from the village went ahead and collected donations for the college and through her efforts, more than 6 million Indian rupees were collected.

With the efforts of the lady teacher and the people of the village, the construction work of the college was completed and then the name of the college was named as ‘Daulatpur Degree College’.
