Watch Aishwarya’s reaction to being called ‘Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’

Popular Bollywood actress and Indian politician Jaya Bachchan is making headlines these days after being called ‘Jaya Amitabh Bachchan’ in the Rajya Sabha.

Meanwhile, an old video of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai is being shared on the Indian media, in which she was surprised when the host introduced her as ‘Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’.

The video is a clip from an interview Aishwarya gave to Indian media in the past, in which the host introduces her as ‘Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’.

Aishwarya expresses surprise at the host’s introduction and said: ” Oh my God! It is titled.” After which the host asks her if Rai Bachchan is your official surname.

To which, the actress replied, “Everyone knows me as Aishwarya Rai and now Aishwarya is married to Abhishek Bachchan, so obviously I am Aishwarya Bachchan, but whatever name people call me, it is their choice.”

It should be noted that a few days ago, Jaya Bachchan had exploded for linking Amitabh Bachchan’s name with her name in the Rajya Sabha.

Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan had invited Jaya Bachchan to address the session of the Parliament House and addressed that ‘Mrs. Jaya Amitabh Bachchan ji please’.

Jaya Bachchan reminded everyone, including the Deputy Chairman, that he also has a separate identity, saying that ‘only Jaya Bachchan would have been enough’.
