Farhan Akhtar says he won’t ask anyone to watch Ranbir Kapoor’s this film

Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has said that he will not ask anyone to watch Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Jaanwar’.

Farhan Akhtar said in an interview that the film Jaanwar could not impress me. If I had been offered to produce this film, I would have refused. Ranbir Kapoor’s role in the film was problematic.

The actor further said that Jaanwar is not a film that he would recommend anyone to watch. This movie is not something that touches or inspires me. The main character of this film was full of problems, he added.

Farhan further said that he can never say to any writer, producer or anyone that he should not make this film or such a film should not be made. If someone forbids me from making a film, I will ask who are you to forbid me. I am free to create the film of my choice within the limits of what the law and the constitution allow me and no one can stop me, the actor continued.

The film Jaawar was a 2023 blockbuster film starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film was criticized for its excessive violence, gore and controversial dialogues.
