Rahat Fateh Ali Khan refuses to sing hit ISPR song

Renowned composer and singer Sahir Ali Bagga has revealed that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan rejected hit-song ‘Mujhe Dushman Ke bachon ko parhana hai’.
The famous son was released on the first death anniversary of Army Public School martyrs by the Inter Services Public Relations.
Bagga made the revelation during an interview with Samaa.
Talking about the song, he said, “I was very shocked after the APS Peshawar incident in which children lost their precious lives. I made the song, it was supposed to be sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.”
“In fact, he [Rahat] also took the money. He was paid for the tribute song, but one day he called and said, ‘sorry friend, I can’t do it because I am afraid of signing it’. I then thought to do it differently, my son was constantly coming in my mind, also it was an incident in which kids like my son lost lives, so! I did it with him. I called my son and recorded it. When he was singing, I had tears in my eyes”.
Sahir Ali Bagga is a prolific musician, singer and songwriter who is known for his hit drama OSTs, ISPR songs and commercial songs.
