In a first, UAE set to participate in ‘Miss Universe’ pageant

The United Arab Emirates is all set to participate for the first time in women’s beauty pageant ‘Miss Universe’.

The UAE’s participation has been announced on the official Instagram account of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).

In an Instagram post, Indonesian businessman Papi Capela has been appointed as the national director of the UAE and Spurs. Capela previously served as the National Director of Miss Universe Indonesia and Malaysia.

Fashion model and mother of 3 from UAE Emilia Dubreva will represent the UAE at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant.

The competition will be held on November 16 in Mexico.

According to a Khaleej Times report, Dubrewa will wear abaya in the national dress round, while in the remaining rounds she will also wear other dresses.

It may be recalled that Dobreva was crowned Miss Universe UAE in October where she defeated four other candidates.

On Instagram, the Miss Universe UAE organization shared a photo of the model on its official account, praising her beauty, intelligence, and ability to inspire others.
