The government of the Indian state of Telangana has issued a notice to Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh.

According to Indian media, Diljit Dosanjh’s concert has been organized in Hyderabad this week, the management of which has been sent a notice by the state government.

In the notice, it has been strictly instructed that the singer will not sing songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence in the concert.

Apart from this, the notice prohibits inviting children on stage while the government has also ordered to control loud noises and flashlights for the safety of children.

Why was the notice sent to the singer?

Media reports said that last month on October 26 and 27, Diljit had a concert at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi in which he performed songs like ‘Kiss’, ‘Panchtara’ and ‘Patiala Peg’.

Residents of Chandigarh alleged that the singer had promoted alcohol, drugs and violence in the concert.
