YouTube unveils most watched videos in Pakistan in 2024

YouTube has released its End-of-Year List for 2024, showcasing the platform’s most popular videos in Pakistan.

The list, spanning three categories—Top Trending Videos, Top Music Videos, and Top Creators—highlights the country’s diverse entertainment preferences and growing digital landscape.

This year saw a significant surge in content uploaded by Pakistani creators, with total hours of content increasing by 60% compared to the previous year.

Additionally, there was a 25% rise in creators earning over Rs 10 million annually, marking a milestone in the country’s content creation industry.

Top Trending Videos
As expected, entertainment dominated the trending videos category, with local dramas and action-packed films taking center stage. The top three trending videos included:

  1. Ishq Murshid – Episode 20
  2. Jaan Nisar – Episode 1
  3. Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum – Episode 1

Other popular entries featured action films such as Tiger Nageswara Rao (Full Hindi Dubbed Movie) and Ram Pothineni’s SKANDA, alongside local dramas like Akhara – Episode 1 and Abdullahpur Ka Devdas – Episode 1.

Top Music Videos
The Top Music Videos list reflected the global and local diversity of musical tastes in Pakistan. Leading the list were:

  1. 90 Nabbe Nabbe – Gippy Grewal & Jasmine Sandlas
  2. Aaj Ki RaatStree 2 (Music by Sachin-Jigar)
  3. Balo Batiyan – Ali Zafar & Atta Ullah Khan Esakhelvi

Other notable songs included Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and Lehnga by Diljit Dosanjh.

The mix of Punjabi hits, Bollywood tracks, and soulful Pakistani ballads illustrates the universal appeal of music.

Top Creators
The list of top creators in Pakistan reflected the growing variety of content available on YouTube, with channels covering family vlogging, lifestyle, healthcare, and educational topics. The leading creators were:

  1. Rajab’s Family
  2. Anaya Eshaal Family
  3. Arshad Reels

Other notable creators included Ducky Bhai, Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad, and Chota Ali Vlogs.

This year, YouTube’s platform also saw a rise in creators engaging with global audiences, with over 65% of watch time on Pakistani content coming from viewers outside the country.

Farhan Qureshi, Google’s Country Director for Pakistan, emphasized that the growth of Pakistani content on YouTube reflects the increasing global reach of local creators.
