Legendary Junaid Jamshed remembered on 8th death anniversary

Junaid Jamshed, a celebrated figure in Pakistan known for his hit song “Dil Dil Pakistan,” is being remembered on his eighth death anniversary.
The former Vital Science band member, Junaid Jamshed, made a significant impact on the pop music scene with hit song like “Aitebar”, “Naraz Ho, “Tera Karam Maula” and “Tumhara Aur Mera Naam”, before dedicating his life to Islam.
Bin in Karachi in 1964, Jamshed got fame for is iconic Dil Dil Pakistan, which is still one of the most popular and loved song in the country.
He began his musical journey during his student days. He rose to fame in 1987 with the formation of the Vital Science.
At the peak of his career, Junaid, left the industry and dedicated life for Islam in 2004.
His soulful renditions like “Mera Dil Badal De” earned him acclaim in his new role as a spiritual guide.
On December 7, 2016, Junaid Jamshed tragically passed away in a plane crash near Havelian while returning from a preaching mission.
His son, Babar Junaid, has often reflected on his father’s unwavering faith and determination to inspire others.
In honour of his contributions, the Pakistani government awarded him the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2007.
