Why was Kashif Mahmood arrested by police?

Pakistani drama actress Kashif Mahmood has revealed his arrest for participating in a political demonstration.

The actor, who has played various roles in the Pakistani television industry and has won the hearts of millions of fans with his excellent character, revealed this while participating in the private TV show that he was arrested by the police.

Mahmood has also been vocal on politics and social issues and has never shied away from sharing his views on the matter. The actor spoke about how speaking out on politics affected his career.

He said he had not been involved much in politics but was arrested for taking part in an anti-government demonstration.

Kashif said that he was released from police custody by Sohail Ahmed on bail.

Narrating the story of his arrest, the actor said that the attitude of the police towards him was very good as the inspector spent Rs1000 from his own pocket to provide him with mosquito repellent lotion and safety net for his jail cell as there were many mosquitoes.
