Diljit Dosanjh announces not to perform in India
Diljit Dosanjh, the world-renowned Punjabi singer from India, has announced that he will no longer perform in the country.
According to Indian media, Diljit Dosanjh gave a spectacular performance at a house-full concert in Chandigarh recently, but he surprised his fans when he announced that he will not be doing any shows in India in the future.
Dosanjh attributed the decision to poor concert infrastructure and arrangements in India and appealed to the authorities to provide better facilities as the concert industry is growing rapidly in the country.
At the end of his concert in Chandigarh, Diljit addressed the government and concerned authorities to focus on infrastructure for live shows in the country.
Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh said: “I want to tell the authorities that we don’t have proper facilities for live shows here.” This is a great income generating system and many people are working on it, please, consider it.
The singer added that the Chandigarh administration should focus on improving infrastructure instead of troubling singers and artistes.
He announced that he would not perform shows in India until a stage was built in the middle of the concert arena.
He said that next time he will try to place the stage in the middle so that the fans are around me. Until that happens, I will not perform in India. So my request is that the administration should work on the infrastructure.
