Babar on verge of surpassing Kohli and Amla
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam could add another feather in his illustrious career, as he could surpass modern day greats Virat Kohli and Hashim Amla.
Currently the number one ranked batter for fourth year in a row in ODIs, Babar Azam is inching closer to 6,000-run mark in the format.
South Africa’s Hashim Amla is currently the quickest batter-ever in the history to score 6,000 runs in ODIs in 123 innings.
Babar Azam has currently scored 5,905 runs in 119 innings. In order to break the record, he needs to score just 95 runs in next three innings.
Meanwhile, India’s Virat Kohli score 6,000 runs in 136 innings.
It is worth mentioning here that Babar showed glimpse of form in the second ODI, scoring 73 runs in Pakistan’s 81-run victory.
