Saif Ali Khan seriously injured resisting robbery at home; shifted to hospital

A robbery was attempted at the house of Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and the actor was injured when he resisted.
According to Indian media reports, Saif Ali Khan was injured during the resistance and has been shifted to Lilavati Hospital. The incident took place at 2:30 PM at the actor’s house in Bandra, Mumbai.
Media report said an unknown person tried to enter Saif Ali Khan’s house with the intention of stealing, but when Saif Ali Khan resisted, the accused escaped.
Reports suggest that the actor was attacked with a knife, injuring him, while the family members were unharmed.
The actor underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital. According to the hospital’s COO Dr. Neeraj Uthmani, Saif suffered six stab wounds, two of which were quite deep.
He said one of the injuries was near the spinal cord.
The police say that the investigation of the incident is going on while the statements of the family members are also being recorded and the police are trying to identify the accused from the CCTV cameras installed in the house.
Saif Ali Khan lives with his wife Kareena Kapoor and two children in a house in Bandra.
