Anwar Maqsood stopped from ‘traveling abroad’

Renowned writer and poet Anwar Maqsood has revealed, without sharing much details, that he has been barred from travelling abroad.
Anwar Maqsood made the revelation during a recent public interaction.
In another hilarious dig, Maqsood shared the recent Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) surge and connected it with Imran Khan’s imprisonment.
Maqsood said that he had planned to attend the Jashn-e-Rekhta event in Dubai but was stopped from traveling.
“I was stopped from going there,” he said.
He also revealed that his play “House Arrest” which was scheduled to be performed at the Arts Council Pakistan, was similarly “stopped.”
Though he clarified that the play’s title was not a reflection of his personal situation, adding. “instead, the whole country is under arrest right now.”
