‘It’s haram for me’: Shah Rukh Khan refuses to accept interest on money he loaned for film

Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan is not only the king of name but also of action as he refused to take interest on the money given by him.
Producer and wife of late filmmaker Ravi Chopra has praised Shah Rukh Khan’s generosity in a recent interview and told how King Khan refused to take interest on the money lent to him for his film Ittefaq.
Renu Chopra recalled how Shah Rukh collaborated for her son Abhay Chopra’s directorial debut Ittefaq.
Her family did not have the money to make this film, while Shah Rukh Khan also refused to take interest on the money, when the film was completed, like all other financial matters, there was talk about interest rates in general.
Shah Rukh Khan said: “No, it is haram for me, I will not take it.”
It is to be noted that filmmaker Abhay Chopra made the film Ittefaq in 2017, which was directed by Yash Chopra. The film starred Siddharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles.
