So far, Hollywood films alone have managed to do business of more than $ 2 billion worldwide.
But now for the first time an Asian film has achieved this unique milestone and it is not a Bollywood or Indian film but a cartoon or animated film from China.
Yes, indeed, a Chinese film named Nee Zha 2 has created a stir at the box office and did business of more than $38.2 million between March 3 and 9.
In this way, its total revenue reached $2.04 billion.
It is the first Asian and animated film to do business of more than $2 billion.
Earlier, the highest-grossing animated film award was held by Inside Out 2, which did a business of $ 1.7 billion in 2017.
Released on January 29, 2025, the film is the 7th film overall to have grossed more than $2 billion.
The film is likely to increase its revenue further when it releases in several countries in the coming weeks.
It has reached number six in the highest-grossing films worldwide and has overtaken Avengers Infinity War.
