Watch: German vlogger gets emotional in Madinah

German travel vlogger Ken Abroad got emotional as he visited holy city of Madinah.

Overwhelmed by the city’s spiritual atmosphere, he decided to stop filming out of respect for the sanctity of the place.

A video of him shedding tears is circulating on social media, where he can be seen standing across the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) mosque.

“I can’t hold back my tears, to be honest,” he can be heard in the video.

“I can really feel the power of this place. It’s such a magical place,” he added, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to visit Madinah.

Abroad also acknowledged that many Muslims long to visit but may never get the chance in their lifetime.

“I can only imagine how it must feel to come here as a Muslim,” an emotional Abroad added.

While describing his emotions, Ken was visibly moved again and stated, “It’s a very touching moment here.”

He also urged non-Muslim travelers to respect the sanctity of the place when visiting.

The German national also shared his experience of hearing the Adhan (Islamic call to prayer) ‘particularly special.’

He had planned to document every aspect of Madinah, capturing all the significant landmarks in his vlog.

However, as he immersed himself in the atmosphere, he decided against filming, realising that some experiences are beyond the lens.

“To be honest, in this video, I don’t care about how many views I get. Sometimes, it’s not all about getting views on social media, it’s more about being respectful to the culture, the religion, and the place,” he said.

“I will definitely remember this visit for the rest of my life. It’s a very special travel experience,” he concluded.
