A R Rahman discharged after spending a few hours at hospital

Renowned music composer AR Rahman was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday morning due to dehydration, but a few hours later, he was declared healthy by the doctors and discharged.

According to Rahman’s manager Senthil Willian, the 58-year-old musician is fine now and has returned home. His sister A R Rehana denied reports of chest pain, saying he only had dehydration and stomach pain.

As soon as they heard the news of Rahman’s hospitalisation, fans took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin also enquired about Rahman’s health from the hospital and confirmed his speedy recovery.

Interestingly, Rahman’s wife Saira Rehman, who announced her separation last year, wished her husband all the best, saying she is still his wife and requested the media not to call her an ‘ex-wife’.

Rehman’s son AR Amin and daughters Khatija Rehman and Raheema Rehman also shared the medical report of the hospital on social media, in which it was written that Rehman was brought to the hospital due to dehydration and was discharged after a minor check-up.

Rehman will soon resume work on his new film projects “Lahore 1947”, “Thag Life” and “Tere Ishq Mein”.
