Jugnu Mohsin reveals why she dislikes son Ali Sethi’s Pasoori

Renowned Pakistani politician and journalist Jugnu Mohsin has revealed that she doesn’t like hit song Pasoori, sang by her son Ali Sethi.

The song Passori, which debut in Coke Studio season 14 in 2022, became a global hit topping all charts back then.

However, despite an immense success, Ali Sethi failed to impress her mother.

A video of Jugnu is going viral on social media where she mentioned that Ali was already aware of her opinion, because she likes conventional music, stating, “When his song received billions of hits, he said, ‘I know, Mom, you don’t like that song.”

“I replied, I don’t like it because I prefer conventional classic songs, ghazals, old music, and the traditional style of singing,” she added.

Jugnu also shared some her favorite ghazals, including Ranjish Hi Sahi and Gulon Mein Rang Bhare, Baad-e-Nau Bahar Chale.

Interestingly, Jugnu disclosed that her love for music love predates Ali Sethi’s birth, perhaps sowing the seeds for his eventual career as a musician.

The infectious Punjabi duet, sung by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill, not only earned Sethi enduring acclaim but also unlocked international opportunities.

It has over 1 billion streams and 835 million YouTube views, ‘Pasoori’ has solidified its place as a record-breaking sensation.
