Latest update on Sikandar Box Office collection

30 March, 2025 22:02

Salman Khan is set to make a return to the Bollywood for the first time since his 2023 film Tiger 3.

His latest offering, Sikandar, has released across India on Sunday. This strategy didn’t quite work out for his Tiger 3 that ultimately under-performed at the box office.

Salman Khan is confident about Sikandar, whose 2.2 lakh tickets has been sold out, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

These tickets earned around 6.46 crore Indian rupees.

Sikandar has over 8,000 shows across India in Hindi.

Projections has put the movie’s opening day haul at 28 crore, which is about 18 crore less than the opening day collections of Tiger 3. But, it’s better than the opening day collections of his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Salman hasn’t had a big hit in theatres since 2017’s Tiger Zinda Hai. He desperately needs a win.

Salman Khan is synonymous with the Eid festival as his fans come out in droves to catch his movies on the big screen. Although Salman Khan can guarantee decent openings, it’s the quality of the film itself that will define its future. In recent years, his fans have been disappointed by his creative output.

The actor is also a fixture on television as he hosts Bigg Boss. Some have attributed his declining box office returns to some form of over-exposure on Indian television. His co-star Rashmika Mandanna has been on a dream box office run.

Rashmika’s last three movies were Pushpa 2: The Rule, Animal and Chhaava, which have made over 3,400 crore worldwide.
