Actor William Levy Arrested in Florida – Here’s What Happened

Cuban-American actor William Levy, known for his roles in popular telenovelas and Hollywood films, was arrested on Monday in Broward County, Florida.

According to jail records, Levy, whose full name is William Gutiérrez-Levy, was taken into custody by the Broward Sheriff’s Office in Weston. The 44-year-old actor faces charges of disorderly intoxication in a public place, causing a disturbance, and trespassing. He was booked into the Broward County Main Jail. During a bond court hearing on Tuesday, a judge granted him a $500 bond and issued an order for him to stay away from the location where the incident allegedly occurred.

As of Tuesday morning, Levy was still in custody.

Levy, who gained fame in the U.S. through Spanish-language TV shows and films like “Addicted” and “Girls Trip,” as well as his memorable appearance on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” in 2012, has a large fanbase in Latin America and the U.S. His arrest has attracted considerable media attention due to his high-profile career.

While the Broward Sheriff’s Office has not released full details of the incident, Local 10 News confirmed that an official arrest report is being requested.

This is not the first time the Levy family has made headlines in South Florida. In 2020, William Levy’s son, Christopher Levy, was severely injured in a golf cart accident that required emergency medical care.
