Which Role Made Florence Pugh Fall Into Coma? Actress Opens Up
Hollywood star Florence Pugh recently opened up about the intense toll of performing a daring stunt for Marvelβs highly anticipated film Thunderbolts*. Reprising her role as Yelena Belova, Pugh joined a star-studded cast that includes Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
In an interview, Pugh shared that she completed a jaw-dropping jump from Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, the worldβs second-tallest building. The production team of Marvel did not want to let her do the stunt because of insurance issues initially.
βThey said they donβt think itβs going to happen because itβs a crazy insurance ordeal. I was like, what the fβk? Of course, we are!β Florence Pugh recalled.
Not one to back down, Pugh personally emailed Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to push for approvalβand it worked. Marvel later shared behind-the-scenes footage of the actorβs bold leap, which quickly gained attention online.
While the moment was exhilarating, it left her completely drained. βWhen I got home, I went into what I can only say is like a three-hour coma, like just deep, deep sleep. My brain was obviously trying to focus and process everything,β Pugh explained.
Thunderbolts* is set to hit theaters on May 2, promising adrenaline and drama.
