After a successful period during the COVID-19 lockdown, Lilly’s life took a turn when a popular gossip podcast sparked rumors about her then-partner. The podcast hinted at infidelity involving him, leading Lilly to experience overwhelming social media backlash.

In an emotional interview, Lilly Sabri shared, “People wanted answers, people wanted to see even more into my life, even when I asked for privacy.” The intense online scrutiny led her to delete Instagram and step back from public life. “I just had to get away from social media,” she explained. With her relationship ending and her business impacted, she moved back to the UK, where she had to take on roles her staff once handled.

Despite the turmoil, Lilly’s business has continued to thrive. “I’m not going to be showing my personal relationships, I’ve been too scarred, and I can’t do it again,” she said, revealing that her Instagram return will have stricter boundaries. Lilly acknowledged that sharing personal moments online, though effective for brand-building, can invite unwanted attention. “I’ve learned people will constantly want more the more you give,” she noted, emphasizing her new approach to privacy moving forward.
